Finally its back in my life.
Three weeks of FIFA has done me in.
Chievo Verona are no longer in Serie A because in real life they were relegated to Serie B.
They were found guilty of false accounting on exchanging players with Cesena.
Chievo were officially relegated on 14 April 2019 after a 3–1 home loss to Napoli.
Here’s the team I’ve built over the last 5 seasons.
I waste no time from the word go.
I start to sell players.
This is what I’ve sold so far.
Maguire I’ve always had my eye on selling for profit as I got him early on in his career.
I wasn’t expecting to sell Cunha for such a high price, he wasn’t even transfer-listed.
Roma came in with the bid.
I didn’t want to part with Maddison, but realistically he’s fallen down the pecking order.
Im stacked on the right hand side.
So this was a no brainer.
Same reasoning as Pavon.
I’ve reinvested in some talented youngsters
Saka I paid over the odds for his services, but he’s a player I was targeting to sign this season.
Seen this signing as an investment.
I’m stacked with DC and all of them will play ahead of him.
That will do for now.
I have mainly bought with the money I got from the sale of others.
So my funds are very healthy.
We move to January.
League-wise we are in the mix for promotion.
Disappointing defeat at the hands of our rivals.
I guess it’s payback for winning Serie A last season on their turf.
Cupwise we triumphed over a Serie A side in the second round of the tournament.
Got the only non-Serie A side left in the competition in the quarter finals.
After beating them it set up a semi-finals encounter with Roma.
I start selling players again.
He hasn’t really improved in any of the formats I advanced in.
I’m a big fan of him and even when I created that image Bowen earns new West Ham boss Nuno a draw at Everton.
With Saka and Olmo signing at the start of the season.
I’m in a position to cash in on a left midfielder who has now fallen down the pecking order.
This next one I debated.
He’s my star player.
He’s chievo top goalscorer.
He’s followed my journey from the beginning.
He’s my captain.
But bloody hell that’s alot of money they offered.
I may regret this later on.
Manchester United original offer was 125m, i asked for 150m and they agreed.
I think I could have got 200m, but that cash is to good to turn down.
That’s three top signings at least I can make with it.
Eric Bailly was the go-to in my defence since season three of my tenure, but I feel I have bought better.
This next one I had high hopes for to lead the line in my front three I had in mind.
However, I bought Mbappe the same year and the young French man took his chances.
Now that I have signed Saka there’s no use for him other than to take advantage of the money on offer.
Now I debated selling this next one
Harry Kane has just gone and he was next in line for the throne.
In the FIFA before I actually started both together.
Combined I’ve managed to sell my front two for 205m.
As far as adding to the squad.
I make only one purchase.
Price was high, still young and could be turned over for profit potentially.
Either way, he looks like he could fill in for a starter who maybe injured or suspended.
This offer came out of the blue.
I can’t accept.
If ever there was a chance to get 200m for a real-life player it has to be him.
He still has time on his hands and in the back of my mind, I’m thinking he could play up front and Saka take his place on the left.
Future dream team in the making.
As far as the transfer window is concerned I am done.
I am however tracking Tonali situation.
100% at that price.
He looks alright to challenge for a place and I’m sure I could get 7m more if I sold him on.
Defeat in the cup.
The sale of Cunha came back to haunt us.
Maybe I should have held on to him.
Either way, overall they were the better team.
The seasons over but there’s business to be done.
I check on Tonali, but no joy.
I made a move for Mateta.
But I pulled the trigger at the last minute as I felt I had enough strikers.
Two other targets I wanted I was able to sign.
Overall the transfer window was productive.
Mainly cashing in on fringe players and the ones I wanted to flip for profit.
This offer I received at the end of the season was extremely tempting.

Chievo has returned to Serie A.
If I want to keep this going I will have to edit the database of 2020/21 as Chievo in real-life remained in Serie B.
