Season 5
This is the last FIFA I’ll play before I move over to CM0102 with database 2019/20.
I’m happy with the overall squad depth.
As it’s a custom-made squad I lose the right to sell players in the opening season.
It’s got me thinking that I should play out this season with my fringe players as my starting 11.
So when the January window comes I can put the fringe players on the market and see if I can get a bite.
This season whatever I have left in the transfer funds I’m going to carry it over into CM0102.
I don’t want to sell too many as they will come in handy for when I start cm0102 as I can sell them early on.
I don’t have any concerns across the squad other than I’d like to offload a striker.
The striker issue the target in this FIFA season.
I’m losing a club legend as he retires at the end of the season.
The club also retired his shirt number. However next season I’m going to hand it over to Kane.
I haven’t used him at all apart from FIFA 14.
So seen as it’s his last season I will feature him more in the starting 11, with a target of five goals or more.
But when he goes and I sell at least one striker also, I need a replacement.
The team goes on the preseason tour.
Topped the group stages and won the semi final.
Fringe player Maddison is taking his chances in the tournment.
One player I do want to sell, but I also like him in the squad.
Unfortunately, his run of good form in the competition ends after the semi-finals as he picked up a knock in the game.
I’m active in the transfer window and before the final, I sign a striker.
Had to be done and for a cracking price.
I played him in the final and he scored a brace on his debut.
Kanes got his cover and potential competition.
Won with ease and with the fringe players.
Hopefully, some suitors are watching.
More deals are completed.
I pick up two centre-backs with the hope of moving Maguire on later.
Boosted the midfield options by making these two signings next.
Spent heavily, still young and seen more as an investment later on.
Last day of the window and I’m not that bothered with it.
However, I can’t help myself and I bring in two more with the same intentions as the previous two signings to justify the spending.
That’s the most I’ve ever spent and it’s not even January.
Pretty much decided to scrap my plan of selling unless there’s a deal to be made and just continue spending on players to bring the squad up to 50 and sell them for profit.
I’m on 41 players once you take away Pellissier.
I stick with the same game plan of fielding fringe players, but when I went up against title challengers Juventus I wanted to field a strong team.
Pointless as I lost the game.
Slow start with the fringe team, had to mix it up with some super subs to grab a point in some cases.
Two points clear with a game in hand.
More importantly, though it’s the January transfer window.
Playing the fringe team has attached some interest.
However it’s only on my three strikers.
Not that it matters it’s still incoming funds at the end of the day.
Didn’t want to part with Abraham, but a bid comes in for him.
Spurs offered 4.1m.
I asked for 10m thinking I’ll settle with 7m if offered.
But out of the blue Schalke came in matching the 10m.
So I took it.
What’s great is that from the start I wanted rid of a striker and I’ve managed to get rid of three.
Obviously, I’m now sitting on a stack of cash.
Youth being the target with a big money move on a talented individual.
To start with I go and buy more defenders.
Dumfries could challenge for a starting spot from the word go to be honest.
Isak I wasn’t really bothered about, however he’s another one I could flip for profit later down the line.
Cunha with the same vibe just mentioned.
His price was too tempting not to gamble on.
Still a lot left in the bank. I did plan to carry over funds into cm0102. But to hell with it, I’m going all in on a young talented attacking player.
With the clock ticking I go all in for Rashford, even adding players to the deal.
But no luck.
So I go in for the next player on my hit list and they accepted the deal with 3 hours left.
I had to meet his club’s demands for his services.
It’s the most I’ve spent on a player.
Thankfully he returned the favour with a debut goal.
He’s good and has more pace about him than Bernard Silva.
Silva is still a good player. But now I’ve created a headache for myself.

And the icing on the cake was lifting the trophy away to rivals Hella Verona after spanking them 3-0.

I’ve gone for three at the back for the first time.
The first half was very entertaining as we go 2-0.
The first half was all we needed to complete the double.
Young player of the year award has to go to new signing Havertz.
Granted he’s not played many games, however, I’ve tested him in multiple positions and he’s produced.
The future looks bright.
