Season 4

I’ve combined all the games to goals Harry Kane has achieved at the club so far. Impressive

Interesting start to the season not like the start of the others.
The prospect of adding more money to the transfer funds is very appealing to get stuck into the tournament.

Made it to the final.

Managed to lose a player to injury in every game.
Harry Kane got injured in the final right before halftime.

Out with old and in with new.

In this window, I just want potential cover for Kante as Savic looks more suited as an MC than a DMC.
RW looks okay with O Dembele’s position has changed from STR to RW as I had hoped.
I wanted Thuram to do the same, but he’s still a striker.
Mane is slowing down, guaranteed to start, but I’d like more options at LW.
Striker-wise other than Kane and Jesus, I’ve collected middle-level players that could never go ahead of those two. So ideally I could offload a few and buy an individual who may go ahead or atleast challenge for starting spot.

I bought Rice as Kante cover, but he’s not a DMC. I’m hoping this will change like Dembele. So worth the gamble and price too.

For my LW and STR signings, I’ve gone with these two players.
Both young and ideal candidates to be understudies to Mane and Kane.

I’ve got a bit of cash and I don’t want to keep spending small amounts.
The squad is getting massive, I need to get rid of a few players.
So for every potential signing, I need to offload at the same time.
Unfortunately, the team is a custom-made squad. I can’t sell anyone at the beginning. But I’ll try in the January window.
I’m happy with the Rice signing, but I came across Rodri and let’s face it he’s an elite player.
I couldn’t find Zouma to carry over so I needed a DC and to be honest, I’m plotting another in the next window.

Last day of the window and the clock is ticking. I’ve got a bit of money, but not enough for what I want.
Before I knew it the dregs of what I put up for sale were being hunted down and taken advantage of and with the time ticking away the bids were all under the set value.
But im not bothered I want the cash.
I get enough for one of my main targets and at the cost of adding a player to the deal.
Timo Werner came in at the start for 560k but is a fringe player not even getting on the bench.
Happy to sacrifice him for a player of quality and an alternative to Mane.

I’m done for this window with 3 hours remaining and still a million in the bank.

My squad to date.

We land in January and everything is going well.

Kane is struggling with injuries, mane isn’t the player he was two seasons ago.
Dembele is becoming a favourite of mine.
The transfer window is now open and I want to offload mainly.

Straight away Kane is a wanted man again.

But hes not for sale at any price.
I did offload two players early on.
Making a profit on them.

Still on the hunt for a DC and RM for an understudy for Dembele.

Happy with the DC. Trent will do for any understudy on the right.
To be honest Bellerín ain’t performing, so he’s got a shout for a spot in the starting 11.
Time is running down on the last day and I get a very tempting offer I can’t really refuse as I still have some money left over. With this amount added I should be able to get the player I’ve been trying to sign this season and the one before.

And with that money combined with what funds I had AND a player who has been an outstanding servant for the early days thrown on top.
I finally get the player I’ve always wanted.
Just a bit annoying that Dembele is playing so good.

Still left me 4.5m left to spend and I’m unable to carry any cash over to the next FIFA 18, so I go all in on a striker.

All of the January deals have been done with an hour spare.

We go flying into March and lightning strikes.

We lose Eric Bailly for the rest of the season.
He’s been a great signing a season ago and the perfect partner for Rudiger.
So I’m left with a dilemma between starting either Matthijs de Ligt or Dayot Upamecano for the remaining season.

There are ten games to go, one of which is a semi-final replay.
Here’s what im going to do.
I’m playing them both in the next game which is in the league.
The strongest of the two in that game will play in the semi-finals.
That leaves 8 games of regular season left.
Im going to spin a wheel with both names in it.
Whoever gets drawn first will start the next 4 games after the semi-finals and the other name will finish the last 4 games of the season.
Should I make the finals of the Coppa Italia, the one that impressed me the most will start.
The wheel is set to go.

The player to start 1st is……….

Breakdown of who they will face.
- Dayot Upamecano

2) Matthijs de Ligt

So they both feature together in the next game and I can’t pick out the player that impressed.
So seeing as how Upamecano is up first, I guess I should rest him given the scheduling between the two games is short and I don’t need another player injured.

Into the final thanks to a Dembele’s goal which has set up a showdown against Napoli.
But another player gets injured after the game.
And it’s the semi-final match winner and the newly crowned today Ballon d’Or winner.
He’s been great, but all we can do is say thank you for your service as his season is over.

Champions

Came at a cost of losing another player to injury, right before the cup final.
He’s been a bit of a disappointment to be honest.

But theres still one more game to go.
Matthijs de Ligt will partner Rudiger for this game.

Towards the end of that final Harry Kane got injured.

But thanks to his early goals in the first half before going off injured, he had helped the team lift the cup and complete a second domestic double in a row.

Young Player of the Year award goes to Jesus.
Players Player of the Year award goes to Dembele.

Harry Kane wasn’t at his best, but still brilliant.
Injuries and a change in tactics from one up top, to a diamond two strikers up top may have slowed him down.

I hated FIFA 17’s new gameplay
FIFA 18 is next and the last one I will do in the career mode.
I will move over to the CM0102 for season 19/20
