The 🍕 challenge part 4

The next league challenge will be……

To make it fair, I’m using a wheel to pick the manager who will get first pick in the next wheel, which will contain two clubs they will be managing.

Wheel 1

Outcome

I’ve obviously going with PSV and Ajax.

Wheel 2

Clubs have been decided.

We jump to December

The league table

Looks like they are both in the mix for the league.

PSV slightly edging infront

How important that game in hand will be for them.

Alex Ferguson – PSV

There’s not much movement inbound that’s catching the eye.

I’ve never heard of him. Looks like a diamond in the rough. Potentially.

No movement outbound, so he’s obviously happy with the squad he’s been given.

Champions league wise, it’s over before it started.

Comfortable enough entering the UEFA cup.

Wenger – Ajax

He’s made no attempt to shift players or recruit.

There is no champions league competition, but they are coasting through the UEFA knockout rounds.

The fourth round for both teams.

Ajax with a tough challenge.

Both clubs get drawn into the Dutch Cup.

I noticed Helmond Sport is managed by a cm legend.

Ajax team stats so far

They will have a hard time keeping Hato.

Akpom needs to step up his game if he wants to keep his place in the team.

Weghorst leading the line, and I’m impressed by Bertrand Traore.

There are two other young guns making a name for themselves.

PSV team stats so far.

Smaller squad then Ajax to work with.

Some tasty numbers being produced by a number of individuals.

Babadi is only 19 and showcasing his talent with the chances he’s been given. The manager must be pleased.

If he can keep hold of this guy all season. The numbers if they continue to mount will be insane.

I’m liking the loanee from Manchester City.

Future star in the making.

League table

Another title for Alex Ferguson

That’s back to back league titles.

He also did well in the UEFA cup

Until he faced Spurs in the semi-finals

PSV lost out early on in the season in what I’m guessing is their version of the charity shield.

PSV end of season stats.

Didn’t even take in what this guy was doing earlier on.

But what a season he has had.

He kept scoring and formed a good striking partnership with Pepi, who in his own right finished the season impressively.

Transfer round up.

Players in

Players out.

Surprised by Luuk de Jong exit at that price, given the form he was in before he left.

Makes sense now how Guus Till was getting game time.

Ajax – UEFA cup run ended in the 4th round.

They did manage to finish the campaign with silverware on a domestic level by lifting the Dutch cup.

Ajax end of season stats

Their wingers offered plenty of assists, which their striker took full advantage of as he looked like he scored for fun.

Overall, they don’t look like they have put a foot wrong. Everyone played to their strength.

You would win a league with those kinds of numbers??? Surely

End of season ins and outs.

Stuck to his guns and played the hand that was dealt.

That makes it even more impressive

I like the signing of Turk. He’s one for the future.

Results when they met in the league

Both won on home turf, which I’m sure their home fans enjoyed in their own stadiums.

Manager stats

Four different leagues in and Ferguson is working his way towards a domino’s at this rate.

Alex Ferguson ✖️✖️🍕🍕

Arsene Wenger ✖️✖️✖️✖️
