The first league challenge will be…..

To make it fair, I’m using a wheel to pick the manager who will get first pick in the next wheel, which will contain two clubs they will be managing.
Wheel 1

Outcome

I’ve obviously going with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Wheel 2

Clubs have been decided.

We jump to December

League table

Both managers on equal points
Wenger – Barcelona

Lewandowski and Yamal, the standout as expected.
Raphinha is a bit disappointing in front of goal

There is no activity in the first transfer window.

He did sell one major asset.

However, it doesn’t look like he’s lighting up Anfield.

Wenger has dipped into this transfer window with some new additions and spending wisely.

Champions league campaign has ended at the European group stages.

UEFA Cup, it is then. And a strong home first leg looks promising.

Sir Alex Ferguson – Real Madrid

There’s not really much to go on, really. Everyone looks average. I’d want more from Mbappe, 11 goals in 20 is pretty poor, and Bellingham is hardly a standout, I would have thought he would have been leading the assists and goals stat wise. Endrick does look a threat.

In the first transfer window, Ferguson snapped up a bargain on a free at that.

It’s not a bad start to his Real Madrid career. He looks decent too.

In this current transfer window, he has splashed the cash and is looking ahead for the following season.

Given the guys’ current form in France, you can see why he bought him.
And to challenge an underperforming Rodrygo.

Champions league wise, he topped the group.

However, it looks like he has been drawn into a group of death.

Sir Alex Ferguson has won a trophy and lost a cup final halfway into the season.
Winning the Super Cup.

Losing in the Spanish Super Cup.

Both came up short, but not from a lack of trying.

Wenger – Barcelona

Yamal and Lewandowski kept up their form till the end, and Raphinha stepped up but lacked the same goal contribution, probably would have edged them closer to the title.

UEFA cup campaign ended in the quarter finals stage. Knocked out by a Spanish club at that.
The same team that beat Real Madrid in a cup competition.

How the two squared up in the league.

Ferguson got the better of Wenger over all thanks to an entertaining home win and a draw away despite Barcelona looking to nick a win in the second half after going two goals down.

Sir Alex Ferguson – Real Madrid

Pleasing on the eye to see Mbappe goal threat.
Still weak in the midfield contribution.

Real Madrids Champions League campaign died at the group stage

There was one more cup final that Real Madrid did win. Making it two finals won out of three.
Not a total waste of a season.

End of season stats on the managers.

No league title means no slice of pizza.
Going to have to settle for a Chicago town and miss out on a pappa John’s.
On to the next country.
Surely, they have to win a league somewhere.
