Ruud on the run part 2

Following on from his friendly debut, I’m thinking of bringing in another striker to partner the Dutch kid.

I’ve got the cash, so I go hunting for a striker, and I land an English youngster.

He looks decent.

First goal for RVN in the league which is ace.

Even if it was a fluke.

Crystal palace hit the ground running, and RVN has adapted to life in England.

The press starts singing his praises. Performance wise, I’d agree. However, it’s Bent getting the goals.

I bench Bent.

And revert to playing RVN up top on his own, and the goals start flying in from the Dutch man

Helps him pick up the award for the best player in the league.

He carries on his fine form into December, netting his first professional hat trick.

More free advertising is coming from the press.

I have just noticed he has a minimum fee release clause in his contract.

That will do nicely.

Hits a bump along the road. It’s not too bad. He will be back up and running soon.

And he does just that. Hitting 4 goals in 3 games and a nice FA win against a premiership team to brag about.

Season ends with his first trophy.

What a team to manage, and RVN had an amazing time.

A club comes in and matches his release clause.

Surely not? This isn’t happening.

It’s done.
