The game was won, but the penalty miss on his return is going to knock his confidence.
The fact that manchester City had made all their subs before the sending off meant they had to play a non GK in goals for the penalty.
Manchester united go into the champions league knockout stages, 4 days later.
And it’s another penalty miss for R7.
On top of that, he’s close to being injured again.
On to the FA Cup final. It ends in defeat, R7 giving a lifeline in the last few minutes of the game only to miss yet another penalty in the shootout.
Season is over, and manchester United are champions.
One last game of the season, and it’s the Champions League final.
There is no goal for R7, but another trophy under his belt.
R7 had chances and played a good game in a great team. David Villa getting injured was a blessing as he is an absolute monster up front.
